Hey guys

I am looking at ways of using a Seika braille display (used t be called Transbraille I believe) with NVDA. I was not aware this was possible until I started Googling. Apparently you can get a pretty decent level of functionality by using the BrlTTY driver, but when I googled that it seemed to be exclusively written for unix/linux. I did not yet try to isntall it, I presume there must be a Windows compatible driver version on the web page I found (and whose address I don't have handy), but if anyone has used brltty with Windows, could you post relevant links for the driver and any experiences on using it.
My understanding is you can only use very basic navigation, not mouse cursor keys etc.
Still, seems there is a way to use a braille display with free screen reader under Windows, and that, in itself, is pretty cool.
cheers

I have not used BrailleTTY as my PAC Mate's Braille display works using the FS driver.
I'd first check the nvda web site / wiki to see where they recommend you download anything for it. What I don't know is if BrailleTTY comes with the NVDA package as NVDA is built in Python. Their wiki has been quite informative you may wish to start with their site.

Here's a note from a mailing list that indicates a couple files / installers you'll need from the Developer of NVDA.
Don't know if you can make BrailleTTY portable to a thumb drive but ...
